Drink through a straw
By drinking through a straw, it will allow for the liquids that typically stain your teeth to have less potential to do so. These staining drinks would include coffee, tea and red wine. While it might not be the fanciest way to drink wine, it could help protect your teeth in the long run!
Brush after every meal
It is important to brush your teeth regularly for your oral health, and increasing the frequency will help prevent stains from sticking to your teeth. When you can’t brush your teeth, try to rinse your mouth with water after eating.
Use an electric toothbrush
While you may insist that your brushing skills are superior, an electric toothbrush will ultimately do a better job. It is important to have a good brushing method in order to prevent plaque buildup on your teeth. However, don’t scrub too aggressively, which could remove enamel on your teeth that is important.
Watch what you eat
Sugary foods and candies can affect the acid levels in your mouth. Too much can have a negative effect on the enamel of your teeth. In contrast, some fruits, such as apples, have a natural cleansing action that can dissolve the stains. So word to the wise: watch the candy and sweetened snacks when trying to prevent yellow teeth.
